Dr. Stearns is board-certified in cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. She completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at St. John Providence Medical Center in Michigan, began practicing in Scottsdale in 2013, and joined the Cardio Vascular Institute of Scottsdale in 2018. Her special interests include pregnancy and heart disease, women's heart disease, and heart disease prevention.
Dr. Cerda is board-certified in cardiology and internal medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Florida-Jacksonville, where he also served as chief medical resident, and completed his cardiovascular fellowship at the University of Florida. He began practicing in Phoenix in 2022 and joined the Cardio Vascular Institute of Scottsdale in 2024. His special interests include clinical electrophysiology, cardiac devices, and heart failure.
Dr. Rashduni has practiced cardiology in Scottsdale since 2006 and has served as medical director of non-invasive cardiology at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea and Thompson Peak. He earned his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he published widely on cholesterol and vascular physiology. He completed his internal medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and his cardiology fellowship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
Dr. Haddad is board-certified in multiple specialties, with a focus on interventional cardiology and vascular medicine. He completed his cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology fellowships at St. John Providence Medical Center in Michigan, began practicing in Scottsdale in 2010, and pioneered cardiac angioplasty and stenting using the radial artery approach. He performs structural heart procedures including left atrial appendage occlusion with the Watchman device and transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve repair. He has vast experience in treating peripheral vascular disease, limb salvage, and amputation prevention, and established the practice's vein clinic, where he has helped many patients with varicose veins and venous insufficiency. He also helped establish the carotid artery stenting program within the HonorHealth system.
Dr. Waggoner specializes in interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular disease and intervention, amputation prevention, structural heart disease, and consultative cardiology, performing complex procedures including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR). He earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, completed his internal medicine residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and completed his cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Originally from Spokane, Washington, he has practiced in Arizona since 2013 and has been voted a Top Doc by Phoenix Magazine.
Dr. Sadhu has practiced clinical cardiac electrophysiology in Arizona since 2008 and is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. He earned his medical degree from Dr. P.D.M. Medical College in Amravati, India, completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson and his cardiology fellowship at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, and received subspecialty training in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester. He has specialized training in complex arrhythmia treatment, including catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation and left atrial appendage occlusion with the Watchman device, along with expertise in pacemakers, defibrillators, and heart failure devices.
Ron received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing from Emory University in Atlanta. He completed an additional year of training at Mayo Clinic Arizona in their Cardiology Nurse Practitioner Fellowship, the only program of its kind in the country, and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Before his nursing career, he studied English and biochemistry at Drew University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and spent many years researching liver and kidney disease at Duke University and Emory University before transitioning into nursing practice in 2009.
Emily originates from Illinois, where she received her associate's degree in nursing from Kankakee Community College in 2009. She moved to Arizona in 2012, completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Grand Canyon University, and earned her Master of Science in Nursing, becoming a certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2019. She spent the majority of her nursing career caring for cardiac patients on telemetry, with additional experience in the interventional radiology lab, critical care, angiographic procedures, and pre- and post-procedure care of complex cardiology patients. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Kimberly started her medical journey in cardiodiagnostics at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital in 1992 and worked as a medical assistant in family practice in Arizona and Florida. She earned her associate's degree from Daytona State College in 2010 and her bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida in 2013, with a nursing career spanning pediatric CVICU, surgical and neurological telemetry, emergency medicine, perianesthesia, and nursing leadership. She earned a master's degree in Executive Nursing Leadership in 2019 and a second master's in nursing in 2022, becoming a certified Nurse Practitioner. She is board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is a Cardiovascular Team Member of the American College of Cardiology.
Kim started her nursing career in 2007 as an LPN in Pensacola, Florida. She received her associate's degree in nursing from Pima Medical Institute in Mesa in 2010, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arizona State University, and her Doctorate in Nursing from the University of Arizona in 2015. She has practiced cardiology with a specialty in electrophysiology as a DNP since 2015. Kim is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society.
Sarah is a certified physician assistant with more than 20 years of experience. She earned her Master of Health Science from the University of South Alabama in 2002 and practiced in Georgia, Texas, and Minnesota before relocating to Arizona. She joined the Cardio Vascular Institute of Scottsdale in 2023.
Megan was born and raised in Scottsdale and started her nursing career in 2016. She graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and earned her master's as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in 2022. While completing her graduate degree, she spent six years in a cardiac intensive care unit caring for critical cardiac patients and taught nursing courses at GateWay Community College. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Misty is a certified physician assistant through the NCCPA and a native of Arizona. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University and received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University in Mesa. She has practiced in cardiology since 2012.
