PHYSICIANS

DANIELLE STEARNS, DO
Dr. Stearns practices at Cardiovascular Institute of Scottsdale. She is board-certified in cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Stearns completed both her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at St. John Providence Medical Center in Michigan. She began practicing in Scottsdale in 2013 and joined Cardiovascular Institute of Scottsdale in June of 2018. She has special interests in Pregnancy and Heart Disease, Women’s Heart Disease and Heart Disease Prevention.

BERNARD VILLEGAS, MD
Dr. Villegas has been practicing cardiology in Scottsdale since 1999. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and nuclear cardiology. He is currently practicing at Cardiovascular Institute of Scottsdale where he practices invasive and non-invasive cardiology.
Dr. Villegas is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas. He completed his internal medicine and cardiology training at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He then spent an additional year of training at the University of Massachusetts with a focus on nuclear cardiology.
After completing his postgraduate training, Dr. Villegas taught at both the University of Tennessee and the University of Massachusetts. While at the University of Massachusetts, he had a joint appointment with the cardiology division and the nuclear medicine division. He served as the director of Clinical Research for the nuclear cardiology department, performed clinical and basic research, was awarded the National Institute of Health grant for the improvement of nuclear imaging and was an Assistant Professor teaching cardiology to the staff. Dr. Villegas has authored several papers and abstracts in the fields of both cardiology and nuclear cardiology.
After leaving academics, he served as the Chief of Cardiology and Director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at the Arizona Heart Institute. Dr. Villegas is a Cardiology consultant for the Chicago Cubs Baseball Team.

DAVID L. RASHDUNI, MD
Dr. Rashduni practices at Cardiovascular Institute of Scottsdale. He started his Scottsdale private practice in 2006. He has served as medical director of non-invasive cardiology at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea Medical Center and Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak, and has been active in the HonorHealth Speaker’s Bureau.
Dr. Rashduni earned his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, NJ where he distinguished himself in cholesterol research and scholarship. He generated many publications in the field of cholesterol and vascular physiology. He completed his internal medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, and his cardiology fellowship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.

NASSIM HADDAD, MD
Dr. Haddad practices at Cardiovascular Institute of Scottsdale. He is board-certified in multiple specialties, with a focus on interventional cardiology and vascular medicine. Dr. Haddad completed both his cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology fellowship at St. John Providence Medical Center in Michigan. He began practicing in Scottsdale in 2010 and pioneered cardiac angioplasty and stenting using the radial artery approach.
Dr. Haddad has vast experience in treating peripheral vascular disease, limb salvage and amputation prevention. He established the vein clinic at Cardiovascular Institute of Scottsdale, where he has helped many patients with varicose veins and venous insufficiency.
Dr. Haddad also helped to establish the carotid artery stenting program within the HonorHealth system.

JOSHUA WAGGONER, MD
Dr. Waggoner practices at Cardiovascular Institute of Scottsdale with an expertise in interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular disease and intervention, amputation prevention, structural heart disease and consultative cardiology. Dr. Waggoner performs many complex interventional procedures including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair (EVAR). Dr. Waggoner earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his internal medicine residency at Harbor –UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. Both his Cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships were completed at the University of Texas Health Services Center at San Antonio, Texas. He has been voted a Top Doc by Phoenix Magazine.
Originally from Spokane, Washington, Dr. Waggoner has been practicing in Arizona since 2013.

ASHISH SADHU, MD
Dr. Ashish Sadhu has been practicing clinical cardiac electrophysiology in Arizona since 2008 and is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He earned his medical degree from Dr. P.D.M. Medical College in Amravati, India. He completed his Internal medicine internship and residency from the University of Arizona in Tucson. After completing his Cardiology fellowship from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas he moved to Massachusetts for further sub-specialty training in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at University of Massachusetts in Worchester.
SPECIALTY TRAINING
Dr. Sadhu has specialized training in performing complex arrhythmia treatments including catheter ablations for atrial fibrillation and left atrial appendage occlusion with the Watchman LAAC as well as expertise in pacemakers, defibrillators and heart failure devices.
NURSE PRACTITIONERS

EMILY WEBSTER, NP
Emily originates from Illinois where she received her Associate’s degree in nursing in 2009 at Kankakee Community College. She then moved to Arizona 2012 and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Grand Canyon University and continued on to get her Master of Science in Nursing degree and became a certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2019. While obtaining her graduate degree, she spent the majority of her nursing career caring for cardiac patients on telemetry, but also spent time in the interventional radiology lab becoming familiar with critical care patients and angiographic procedures. She also has hands on experience with pre and post care in complex cardiology patients. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

KIM KRMPOTIC, NP
Kim started her nursing career in 2007 as an LPN working in Pensacola Florida. She then attended Pima Medical Institute in Mesa, Arizona where she received her associate’s degree in nursing in 2010. In 2011 she returned to school at Arizona State University where she received her Bachelors in Nursing. She then went on to complete her Doctorate in Nursing at the University of Arizona graduating in 2015. She has been practicing Cardiology and specializing in Electrophysiology as a DNP since 2015. Kim is board certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society.

RONALD J. ORDAS, NP
Ron Ordas received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He completed an additional year of training at Mayo Clinic Arizona, participating in their Cardiology Nurse Practitioner Fellowship, the only program of its kind in the country. He is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Prior to his work as a nurse practitioner, he studied both English and Biochemistry at Drew University in Madison, NJ and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC. He spent many years researching both liver and kidney disease at Duke University and Emory University before transitioning into nursing practice in 2009.

Yana Alexander, NP
Yana Alexander, DNP, FNP-BC
Yana began her nursing career with dual Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Health Policy degrees from Arizona State University in 2016. After obtaining experience in pediatric and adult home health, she worked as a registered nurse on the cardiology and neurology progressive care units at Banner Health. Prior to completing her doctorate degree (Doctor of Nursing Practice) at her alma mater, she taught nursing courses at Arizona State University and conducted cancer research with Translational Genomics Institute in Phoenix, AZ. Yana has held several leadership positions in nursing and healthcare organizations during her time at ASU. Yana is currently a Cardiovascular Team Member of the American College of Cardiology. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Kimberly Novenski, NP
Kimberly started her medical journey in Cardiodiagnostics at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital in 1992. She then worked as a Medical Assistant in the Family Practice setting in Arizona and Florida over the next several years. She obtained her Associates Degree from Daytona State College in 2010, and then went on to graduate with her Bachelor Degree from University of Central Florida in 2013. Her nursing career provided her the opportunity to work in pediatric CVICU, Surgical and Neurological Telemetry, Emergency Medicine, Peri anesthesia, as well as several roles in nursing leadership. She graduated with her first Master’s degree in Executive Nursing Leadership in 2019, and then in 2020 graduated with her second Master’s degree in Nursing becoming a certified Nurse Practitioner. She is board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and is a Cardiovascular Team Member of the American College of Cardiology.
